At Halton coaching never stops! Everyball has sessions for all players from ‘the cradle to the tour’. We provide plenty of opportunities for adults and juniors to play great tennis, meet others and have fun, regardless of experience. The courses listed here take place during term time, and we also provide hugely popular tennis camps during school holidays.

Courses are categorised into 4 programmes:

Adult Courses

We provide the complete coaching experience for adult players and have a number of daytime and evening options to help you improve your game, meet new friends and improve your fitness.

Ladies Beginners
Daytime course (90mins) to develop new players' technical and tactical skills.

Ladies Club Improver
Daytime course (90mins) providing game development both technically and tactically for those playing at Club level.

Fast Track Beginners
Evening course (1hr) for those wanting to learn to play tennis in 6 weeks - develop all your strokes and learn gameplay fast!

Fast Track Improvers
Evening course (1hr) for those wanting to improve their tennis in 6 weeks - fine tune all your strokes and sharpen your gameplay.

Drills
Ready made ‘pay as you go’ practice session for you in your weekday lunch hour or after the working day. Lots of repetition with high volume and intensity to groove your game.

Cardio Tennis
Fast paced weekday morning 1hr drills session set to up-tempo music, featuring tennis drills that give players of all abilities an ultimate, high-energy workout - it’s all about keeping your heart rate up, burning calories and having fun.  A great new way to get in shape.

Junior Club Programme

Toddler Tennis
Pre-red sessions are designed for 2.5 to 4 years old. 45 minutes of fun games and tennis activity introducing toddlers to the game of tennis and developing the early FUNdamentals needed for any sport. Parent/guardian must be in attendance. Tuesday mornings, Thursday afternoons and Saturday mornings.

Mini Tennis Red
Classes introduce 4-7 year olds to tennis, developing a young player’s agility, balance, co-ordination, racket skills and technique. Weekday afternoons and Saturday mornings.

Mini Tennis Orange
Classes provide the follow on from Red and are designed for players of 9yrs and under, and are played on a ¾ length court. Weekdays and Saturday mornings.

Green
Classes are designed for those of approx 10yrs of age and are played on a full size court with a lower compression ball - this is the last step before players move onto a Yellow ball. Weekdays and Saturday mornings

Bronze Silver
Classes for 11-15yrs of age are designed for players transitioning from Green ball onto Yellow.

Gold
For the older (12-16yrs) and more experienced player. Gold players may also be accessing the Club Performance Programme.

Club Performance Programme

Red Futures
2hr sessions take place twice a week, for 8yrs and under Red ball players, invited by the coaching team.

Orange Futures
2hr sessions take place twice a week, for 9yrs and under Orange ball players, invited by the coaching team.

Young Guns
2hr sessions take place twice a week, for 10yrs and under Green ball players, invited by the coaching team.

Club Performance
Supporting players (11-17yrs) who are keen to perform in Club and local competition and are invited by the coaching team. Sessions are longer (1.5-2hrs) than those in the Junior Club Programme and are held on weekday evenings.

Performance Team
Supporting players competing at Club and County level, by invitation from the coaching team. Sessions are of 1.5-2hr duration and are held on weekday evenings on indoor courts.

Performance Invitational Squad Programme

Supporting those Performance players competing at a Regional/National level, players are invited by the coaching team and would demonstrate:
  • A rating/ranking in line with EBT considerations for the programme
  • A commitment to appropriate competitive programme, aspiring to the highest level of competition for the players stage
  • A commitment to both squads each week
  • A training programme in line with LTAD (Long Term Athlete Development guidelines), including a physical programme and a minimum of 1 individual lesson per week
  • A consistent 'performance' work ethic and positive contributor to the 'everyball' environment
  • They have registered 'Halton' as their registered 'training centre' with LTA (appropriate % if also at another club)
  • They complete their quarterly LTA on-line goal setting and competitive planning with an individual coach
Aspirantes
For identified Red ball players embarking on the first steps on their performance journey, sessions (1.5hrs) are held twice a week and are for those players invited by the coaching team.

Freshman
Our under 10 programme brings together the most committed players at Orange and Green level in a performance environment.

Sophomore
Our 14 and under programme brings together the most committed players at this age group in a performance environment.

Seniors
Our 18 and under programme brings together the most committed players at this age group, as invited by the coaching team. Senior squads also cater for those players on AASE (Advanced Apprenticeship for Sporting Excellence)

Academy
Sessions are weekday mornings (1.5hrs) and weekday afternoons (2hrs). Players are invited by the coaching team.

Cardiac Risk in the Young (CRY)

We recommend that all our elite young players and athletes visit the CRY website which explains cardiac risk in the young and how to arrange screening.
